Last January 30, the Conference “The world of cities and the application of the SDGs of the 2030 Agenda” took place in the city of Toledo, which was attended by around 200 participants, among them a representation of the office for European and International Relations of Terrassa City Council. The attendees, especially mayors from all over the State, are committed to the implementation of the SDGs and the 2030 Agenda in the local strategic frameworks.
The day was focused on debating the key factors to advance in the achievement of the 2030 Agenda from the local level. One of the established factors has been the local involvement with all agents in the territory for the application of the SDGs of the 2030 Agenda with a clear objective: to promote new municipal initiatives aligned with the SDGs from the prism of commerce, tourism, conservation and improvement of heritage, etc., in order to contribute to the generation of employment and achieve sustainable development in the member cities of the 2030 Network, of which Terrassa is an active member.
