The UCLG Retreat is an annual international event that is organized with the aim of fostering connections between network members, including the participation of political leaders and technical representatives to foster interaction and exchanges of good practices and insightful knowledge. This year it was organized in Barcelona from February 20 to 24.
The Councilor for Presidency and European and International Relations, Jennifer Ramírez, participated in the session dedicated to global trends for local and regional governments and the “Media for Cities” debate in which, through the Institute of Urban Journalism, focused on how to improve understanding and rigorous information on efforts at the local level towards achieving social, economic and environmental sustainability, and as part of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Sustainable Development Goals , the implementation of the New Urban Agenda and the full commitment to the climate action agenda.
